Attica, Ind., Jan 18 - William H. Young, vice-president of the Farmers and Merchants State bank here, died today after a brief illness. Mr. Young owned considerable land in the northern part of Indiana. Mrs. Young died five years ago. Two children, Mrs. Charles Millford of Lafayette, and Dan R. Young of Attica survive.

Attica, Ind Jan 20 – Funeral services were held here today for William H. Young, 77, banker, financier and farmer who died Wednesday. He leaves a son, Dan R. Young, Attica and a daughter, Mrs. Mary Milford, Lafayette. Mrs. Young died four years ago.

Covington – The will of Chase Arnold, late Attica resident has been admitted to probate. Anna Mortimore of Chicago, a daughter is made the sole heir and Will B. Reed named executor.  Letters of administration on the estate of the late William Young, Attica have been issued to his son, Daniel R. Young who has filed bond of $50,000.  The estate is valued at $52,000; a large amount had already been advanced to heirs it is stated.

William H. Young, one of Fountain County’s leading land owners and best known citizens, died at his home in Attica Wednesday morning at 4:30 o’clock at the age of 76 years.  His daughter, Mrs. Charles R. Milford of Lafayette and his son, Dan R. Young of Attica were both at his bedside when he expired. Mrs. Milford had been attending her father for several days prior to his death. Mr. Young whose entire life was spent in Fountain County had been a widower for seven years and the attack of pneumonia which caused his death came upon him only a few days ago. He attended the Presbyterian church, was VP of the Farmers & Merchants State bank of Attica and was prominent in the business and civic life of the community. The funeral will be conducted from the family home in Attica Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock; burial in Riverside cemetery.
