Mrs. Mary A. Yount, 81 years old
and a resident of Franklin County for thirty-seven years, died at 1:20 o’clock
yesterday morning at the home of M. V. Price at Pomona. Complication caused her
death. She had been ill for two years. The funeral services are to be held
tomorrow afternoon at 1 o’clock at the Price home. The Pomona Presbyterian
pastor will have charge and burial will be in the Pomona cemetery. Mrs. Yount,
formerly Miss Watt, was born February 18, 1934, in Indiana and came to this
county in 1878 from Covington, Ind. She was married to William F. Yount in 1854
at Harveysburg, Ind. Mr. Yount died in July, 1906. Six children survive Mrs.
Yount. They are Mrs. Rilla Price, John Yount and Miss Alice Yount, all of Pomona;
Rista Yount, Ottawa; James Yount and Mrs. Verline Grayson, Lawrence. – jlr
