Veedersburg – Dr. Orville V. Zimmerman, 76, former mayor and a practicing dentist here for 50 years,  died at his home Friday evening after a two-year illness.  Dr. Zimmerman was born on a farm near Veedersburg, the son of James and Ruth Hale Zimmerman. In early life he was a barber. Later he was graduated from the Indiana Dental College, Indianapolis. Dr. Zimmerman retired from practice when his health failed. His wife, formerly Miss Linne Luke died a decade so.  Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Dailey Cronk, Indianapolis and Mrs. Mary Ebinger, Los Angeles.  Dr. Zimmerman was a member of the Knights of Pythias and the Masonic order. Active in the Board of Education and was mayor for several years. Funeral services have been scheduled for 10 a.m. Wed at the Fishero Funeral Home. The Rev OW McGaughey will officiate and burial will be in the family lot in Mt. Hope Cemetery near Covington. -kbz
