Horace Bacon, 63, a native of England, died at LaPorte Monday morning at 3 o'clock after having been ill for a year. His wife is the former Miss Edith Tignor of Veedersburg. She survives. Mr. Bacon was born in London, England Sept 15, 1879. He came to America when a youth. In 1918 he married Miss Edith Tignor. Two sisters and one brother still in England survive. After a brief ceremony at LaPorte Wednesday evening the body was brought to the home of his sister-in-law, Hazel Tignor at Veedersburg where full funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 2:30, Rev. J.C. Shrigley of the United Brethren Church officiating. Burial in Rockfield Cemetery.
