Newtown - Robert G. BACON 65 a retired farmer died Saturday evening in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. He was born near Newtown son of Charles F and Luella Martin Bacon July 26, 1912. He graduated from Newton HS and was a member of United Methodist Church; Richland Lodge F & AM ; Newtown Eastern Star and attended Davnille Business College. He married Pauline Singleton 8-22-1931 in Wingate In. She survives. Also surviving are a son John Charles a sister Mrs. Ruth Luchmiller and two grandchildren. Funeral 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Crumley-William Funeral Home, Hillsboro Dr. Eric Dean officiating. Burial in Newtown Cemetery. - kbz

Newtown – Robert G. Bacon,65, a retired farmer died at 8:30 p.m. Saturday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville where he was admitted Friday. Born near Newtown, he was a graduate of Newtown HS and attended Danville Business School. In 1937 he married at Wingate Pauline Singleton who survives.  Mr. Bacon was a member of Newtown United Methodist Church, Richland F&AM, and Newtown Chapter of Order of Eastern Star. Surviving with the widow are a son, John Charles Bacon of Newtown; and one sister, Mrs. Ruth Lockmiller of Auburndale, Fla. Friends may call after 5 pm today at Crumley-Williams Funeral Home Hillsboro. Services there 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dr. Eric Dean officiating. Interment Newtown Cemetery. Those so desiring ay contribute in memoriam to the memorial fund of the United Methodist Church or United Presbyterian Church at Newtown. - kbz
