Paul R. Bailey, 48, of Rt. 7, on South Eighteenth Street Road died at 7:40 a.m. Thursday in St. Elizabeth Hospital, where he had been a patient the last time for four weeks. In ill health four years, he had worked about 18 years at Duncan Electric Co. as an inspector until July, when he was forced to retire because of his health. Born in Logansport, he lived most of his life in rural Lafayette and was a graduate of Romney High School. Mr. Bailey was married in Lafayette in 1953, to Opal E. Tague, a former clerk in the shoe department of Sears, Roebuck and Co. She survives. He served with the Navy during World War II and was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church. Surviving with the widow are two sons, Craig Ray and Kevin Lee, both at home, and his mother, Mrs. June Hazel Bailey, of New Richmond. Also, two brothers, Warren Edward Bailey of New Richmond and Donald W. Bailey of Lafayette; and three sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Ryan of Bloomington, Mrs. Thelma Smith of Lafayette, and Mrs. Norma Matricia of White Sands, N.M. - kbz
