Kingman - Mrs. Bertha L. Baker, 66 of Rt 1, Kingman died at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in her home. Mrs. Baker was a member of Waterman Baptist Church at Lodi. Friends and neighbors Extention Club and NGO Birthday Club. She was born in Fountain County Feb 23, 1911, a daughter of Oden and Lula Knaur Baker. She married Paul Baker Feb 25, 1946 (sic - his obit says Feb 15) at Veedersburg. He died Feb 24, 1975 (sic - he died Feb 25, 1976). Surviving are a son, Bob of Newman, Ill and a grandson, Robert Allen. The funeral is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Sunday in DeVerter Funeral Home at Covington with Rev. Joe Sollars, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Silver Island Cemetery near Lodi. Friends may call at the funeral home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday.
