Arthur “Archie” Baldwin of Georgetown, Illinois, age 74, died Thursday, February 25, in Mesa, Arizona. He was born in Georgetown, March 30, 1907, the son of Arthur G. and Luella Jones Baldwin. In 1927, he married Elsie Morris, who survives.
He was a member of Georgetown First Church of Christ, past commander of Dornblaser American Legion Post, a life member of Allied Trade unions and also belonged to the Masonic Lodge, Order of the Eastern Star and Danville Scottish Rite. Baldwin was a veteran of World War II.
Also surviving are a daughter, Helen Taylor of Mesa; a son, Arthur J. of Georgetown; two sisters, Maude Binkley of Ridge Farm and Frances Spicer of Covington; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday morning at Houghton Funeral Home in Georgetown with William Pullin officiating. Burial was in Georgetown Cemetery. -s
