Attica—Samuel Lowell “Bus” Baldwin, 79, 103 Sherry Lane, Attica, died at 3:09 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, 1989 at Community Hospital, Williamsport, shortly after admission.
  He was born Oct. 15, 1909 in Covington, the son of James and Katherine Barkley Baldwin. He was married Nov. 19, 1931 in Danville, Ill. to Beulah Irene Johnson, who survives.
  He formerly lived in Covington and had been a resident of Attica for the past 40 years.
  He graduated from Covington High School and formerly worked as a grinder at Harrison Steel Castings Co., Attica, and retired from the maintenance department at C&D Battery in Attica.
  He was a member of Covington Christian Church.
  Surviving besides his wife are a daughter, Mrs. Everett (Connie M.) Lohmeyer, Lafayette; two sisters, Mrs. Zola Stomm, New Carlisle, and Mrs. Genevieve Elgin, Des Plaines, Ill.; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, James H., three sisters, two brothers and a grandson.
  Friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. Saturday in Maus Funeral Home Chapel, Attica, with Pastor Harvey Lange and Pastor Alvie High officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Attica. – thanks so much to S
