Lester Franklin Balser, 43, of Davis Twp, was found dead hanging in the corncrib at his home four miles west of West Point, Thursday morning, Ralph Nelson, deputy coroner investigated. Balser, an employee of the Egyptian Lacquer Co of Lafayette leaves a wife and 7 children. He had been despondent at times of late, his wife said, although he had accompanied her to church at the Gospel Center in Lafayette Wednesday evening. He had slept in his car recently because of limited sleeping rooms and was found by his son, Junior who went to call him for breakfast.  Hand dated June 21, 1951
