Alberta A. Craig
Bane, 96, of Veedersburg, died at 12:45 a.m. at Union Hospital, Terre Haute on
Friday, June 23, 2000. Born in Harveysburg on May 8, 1904, she was the daughter
of Albert B. and Sarah J. (Troxel) Baldwin, Sr. Her first marriage was to Edgar
Craig. He preceded her in death in 1966. She later married Dawson Bane. He
preceded her in death in 1976. Surviving, are: one son, Donald Gene (Mona)
Craig of Veedersburg, two grandchildren, Bonnie (Jim) Morton and Kathy (Doug)
Pugh, both of Veedersburg; two great-grandchildren, Troy Pugh of Hillsboro and
Amber Harden of Veedersburg; two great-great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Josey;
and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by two brothers
and six sisters. Mrs. Bane loved gardening and visiting her family. She graduated
from Veedersburg High School. Visitation was prior to service on Sunday at
Dickerson Funeral Home, Veedersburg, with Rev. Rusty Anderson officiating.
Interment in Harveysburg Cemetery. – jlr
