BANTA, Alota Monroe - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Alota Banta of RR 3, Veedersburg, age 84, died Thursday morning, January 22, in Americana Healthcare Center at Lafayette. She was born near New Richmond, August 18, 1896, the daughter of Rolla and Laura Hart Monroe. February 16, 1916, she married George B. Banta, who died June 5, 1975. Mrs. Banta was a member of Mellott United Church of Christ.

  Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Violetta Christy of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Georgiana Riley of RR 3, Veedersburg; four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Saturday morning at Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Rev. Robert Boyd officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery at Hillsboro. – thanks so much to S for ALL her super work for this website etc.
