Madge Drollinger Barker, 84, Frankfort, d. at the Countryside Health Care Center in Lebanon. She had been in failing health for several years and a resident of the center for several months. She was a former res. of Kingman. She had lived in Laporte from 1946-1980 and the last five years at Frankfort. She was a retired school teacher and the widow of Lloyd Barker, a former principal of the Kingman Schools. Survivors are four sons, Eldon; Robert; Eugene, and Joseph; 12 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Dorsey (Patience) Ayers and Mrs. John (Martha) Christ, Ft Wayne and two brothers, Hershel Drollinger and John S. Drollinger Franklin. Burial in Pine Lake Cemetery. Laporte. Crawfordsville Review Jan 5, 1916 Wednesday - Randolf HARRIS for 5 0years a harness maker at Newtown died at noon Sunday at the home of his son, Postmaster John Harris of that place in his 81st year from a stroke of apoplexy following a decline of 10 years or more. Mr. Horney was born in Darke County Ohio in 1834 but came to Newtown in 1865, started in business and maintained that business through all the years following until ill health came and the business was turned over to the son. His wife died 15 years ago but he is survived by the son and two daughters, Mrs. Fannie Templeton of Newtown and Miss Laura Harris a Kindergarten teacher in Chicago. The funeral was conducted by Rev. HC Riley from the Methodist Church at Newtown at 2 p.m. Tuesday.
