Ralph Barker, 67 of Covington Rt 1, died Saturday morning July 31, 1976 at his home. He had been ill since October. He was a life resident of Fulton Township and resided since 1945 on Covington Rt 1. He operated a sawmill for 50 years and also farmed. Mr. Barker was a member of the Prairie Creek Baptist Church. Born Feb 7, 1909 in Fulton Township, he was a son of John & Corey Hackler Barker. He married Loretta Maners who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Gayle (Beverly) Stockdale of Kingman Rt 1 and Mrs. Frank (Donna) Allen of Covington Rt 1; two nieces, two nephews & six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers and a grandson. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Prairie Creek Baptist Church, with the Rev. Harry Hybarker (sic) officiating. The body will be taken to the church an hour before services. Burial will be in Kingman Fraternal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home. - kbz
