BARKER, Ruby Mae Childers - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Ruby Mae Barker, 79, died at 10:22 a.m. in Ben Hurt Nursing Home. Mrs. Barker was a life resident of the Cates area and a graduate of Kingman HS. She was formerly employed at Cates Grade School cafeteria. She was born near Kingman June 28, 1915 to Richard & Bessie Smith Childers. She married Gerald C. Barker Jan 23, 1934. He died March 23, 1993. Survivors include a son, Richard C (Margaret) Barker; two daughters, Mrs. Jame (Marilyn) Hardwood & Mars Jack Sue) Dillon; a sister, Lois Barker and a brother, Lee (Lois) Childers; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister. The funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Mon in Shelby Fun Home at Covington with Rev Kenneth Majors officiating. Burial in Mt Hope. Friends may call from 4-8 Sun at the funeral home.
