Waynetown - George O. Barker, 67 of Waynetown died early Wednesday morning in his home. He had been ill for several months. He was born Feb 2, 1903 in Romney to Hiram and Martha VanMeter Barker. On May 21, 1927 he married Hollif Wilson of Waynetown. They resided in the Waynetown area most of their married life. He was a member of the United Methodist Church. Mr. Barker attended Romney HS and was employed as a sales represententative for Bold tMilling Co for the past 25 years. Surviving are h8is widow; two sons, George W. "Junior' and James L both of Waynetown; a daughter, Mrs. Sandra Kay Thomas of Chesterton; a sister, Mrs. Mary Branstetter of Fairbury, Ill; a brother, Frank Barker of Romney; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services will be conducted by Rev. Myron Hinton assisted by Rev. Rob James at 2 p.m. Saturday in Servies- Thomas Funeral Home. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Friday. - kz
