Covington, Ind. (CNS)--Mrs. Maggie Barnard, 84, died at 4:30 a.m. today (Nov. 21, 1964) at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Danville, where she had been a patient since Nov. 9. Mrs. Barnard lived in Danville about 30 years. She had been a patient at Vermilion County, Ill., Nursing Home from 1961-1964. She was born July 19, 1880 in Warren County, a daughter of David and Mary Land Lowe and married Fred Gee who preceded her in death on July 8, 1937. She married Frank Barnard on Dec. 5, 1955. He survives, along with four stepsons, George of Danville, Howard of Portage, Ind., Ike of Canada, and Lester of Cleveland, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Barnard was preceded in death by an infant child. The body is at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home here. Friends may call Sunday afternoon and evening. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. (EST) Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Theodore Simonton officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
