BARNES, Leland H.

  Leland H. Barnes, 72, RR 2, Covington, died at 5:20 p.m. Tuesday, November 1, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Illinois.

  Born March 4, 1909 in Hope, Illinois, he ws the son of Charles and Elsie Luman Barnes. He married Pauline Middleton on February 21, 1930, who survives. A farmer, he lived in the Foster area for 40 years and had also lived in Danville and Fithian, Illinois. He retired from farming in 1974. He was member of Pleasant Grove Bible Church.
  Other survivors include a son, Bobby Barnes of Covington; five daughters, Mrs. Jack Goodrich of Abilene, Texas, Mrs. Paul Hussman of Danville, Mrs. Harry Hoagland of Oakwood, Illinois, Mrs. Arley White and Mrs. Jerry Crane, both of Covington; three brothers, Fred and Bobby Barnes, both of Danville, and Ed Barnes of Fithian; a sister, Mrs. Fay Lancaster of Pompano beach, Florida; 15 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters.
  Services were conducted Friday at Pleasant Grove Bible Church with Rev. Emmett Cleveland officiating. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Park at Danville. – thanks to S
