Dayton -- Opal Lucille (Best) Barron, 67, Dayton died at 12:40 p.m. May 19, 1995 in Home Hospital, Lafayette. She was born in Attica, Oct 2, 1927, the daughter of William and Maggie Bell Best. She married Robert I. Barron Dec 1,1942 in Attica. He survives. She had lived in Attica and California and had been a resident of Dayton for the past 3 years. She attended school in Attica. She had formerly attended Attica Free Methodist Church. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 3318 of Attica. Surviving besides the husband are four daughters: Deborah Barnes; Sally Sue Bonnet; Barbara Jean Erwin; Gloria Ann Fussell; two sons, Ikie Lee; John Henry; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers. Funeral services will be held at Maus Funeral Home, Attica at 11 a.m. today (Tuesday). Burial will be in Rainsville.
