Attica, Ind. — Services for Mrs. Mildred L. Bartlett, 54, of 410 E. Main who died Sunday night at Community Hospital, were to be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the DeSutter Funeral Home. The Rev. Douglas Dickey officiated with burial in Riverside Cemetery. Eastern Star services were held Tuesday night. She had been ill a year and hospitalized since Aug. 27. Born July 31, 1913, in Attica, she was the daughter of Joseph and Estella Ballah Hanthorne. She had resided in Kramer from 1929 to 1951 and had been at her present address 16 years. She was married June 19, 1929, at Rockville to Arnet A. Bartlett, who died Nov. 1, 1959. Mrs. Bartlett had attended Attica schools and was a graduate of a practical nursing school in Chicago. She was formerly employed at RMC. She and her husband had carried mail on the star route for 35 years. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church, Rocky Dale Chapter 111, Order of Eastern Star, and an auxiliary. Survivors include two sons, Robert of Attica and Bernard of Attica Route 4; two daughters, Mrs. Zerla Garlin and Mrs. Brenda Routzahn, both of Attica; her mother, Mrs. Estella Mayhew; three brothers, Asa and Harold Hanthorne, both of Attica, and Everett Hanthorne of Arizona; four sisters, Mrs. Irene Sanders, Mrs. Alta Thomson, Mrs. Elnora Worth and Mrs. Lorestine Meharry, all of Attica; and 12 grandchildren.
