Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul Catholic Church for Cornelius W. Bartlow, 79, of 1114 N. Bowman, who died at 5:35 a.m. Tuesday (May 15, 1973) at his home. The Rev. C. B. Motsett will officiate, and burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Berhalter-Irvin Funeral Home, where parish Rosary will be recited at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday. Curtis G. Redden American Legion Post 210 will conduct military rites at the cemetery. Mr. Bartlow was born Aug. 25, 1893, in West Union, Ind., the son of Benjiman and Virginia Hesner Bartlow. He was married Aug. 9, 1917, in Danville, to Gertrude White, who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Virgil C., Ercel B., and Orland, all of Danville; a daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Leona) Price of Danville; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Dickey of Rockville, Ind.; a brother, Arthur of Rossville; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He worked as a moulder in several foundries, starting with Danville Malleable Works until it closed in 1928. He then worked for Aluminum Products Co. of Chicago until his retirement in 1948. He served in the Army during World War I in Co. F of the 106th Infantry Supply Train. -- waw
