Covington, Aug 17 - A short illness with tetanus brought death to Andrew

L. Baumeister, 49, at 5:15 p.m. Monday. He died at the Johnson-Suzuki

Clinic where he had been entered shortly before his death. He was born

in Burr Oak, Michigan on July 13, 1894, the son of Martin and Mary Rietz

Baumeister. On July 3, 1927, he was married to Alma Worth and the

couple moved here from Sturgis, Michigan six years ago. He operated a

shoe repair shop in Covington. Surviving are the wife and two brothers,

Hiram and Herman both of Colon, Michigan. Funeral services were at 4

p.m. Wednesday at the Crumley Funeral Chapel with Rev. J. Shields White

officiating. Burial will be in Prescott Cemetery.
