Claude E. Bean of Crawfordsville, age 50, died Sunday evening, January 11, in culver Hospital of an apparent heart attack. He was born at Hillsboro, July 11, 1930, the son of Harley and Letha Brown Bean. April 3, 1952, he married Evelyn Hughes, who survives.

  Bean was a member of Woodland Heights Christian Church and worked at DeKalb Agricultural Research. He was a graduate of Greene Township High School and an Army veteran of the Korean War.

  Also surviving are a daughter, Lisa, at home; a son, Brian, at home; a sister, Gecka Long of Crawfordsville; and three brothers, Francis of Tampa, Florida, Max of Bradenton, Florida, and Herman of Bosworth, Missouri.

  Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Hunt and Son funeral Home in Crawfordsville with Jack Austin officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery at Crawfordsville. – thanks to S
