ATTICA - Lawrence Beason, age 70, of Attica Rt. 4, was found dead at Rocky Ford at 11:15 a.m. Saturday, Nov. l4, by two hunters from Pine Village. He apparently had died at l p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, from a heart attack according to Warren County Deputy Coroner Richard Stump. He had been at the grocery at noon Thursday and was en route home on foot. The groceries were found with him and he had not been seen since then. Also investigating were Warren County Sheriff Wayne Haddock and Deputy Bill Froedge. Mr. Beason was born in Rainsville in Warren County, Sept. 11, 1900, the son of G. Frank and Minnie Wood Beason. A life resident of near Rocky Ford, he was a farmer. Survivors include: his stepmother, Mrs. Ethel Beason of Attica Rt. 4; three half-brothers, Richard Beason and Adrian Beason, both of Attica Rt. 4, and Arthur Beason of Williamsport Rt. 1; and three half-sisters, Mrs. Mary Kenworthy of Judyville, Mrs. Barbara Crain of Lafayette and Mrs. Maxine Campbell of Hollywood, Fla. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the DeSutter Funeral Home in Williamsport. The Rev. Gerald Burt officiated. Burial was in the Rainsville Cemetery.
