Attica, Ind. (CNS)—Charles Raymond (Ike) Beaver, 60, of Dyer, a former area resident died unexpectedly Monday (July 29, 1968) at the Blawknox Co. in East Chicago, where he had been employed as a welder for 25 years. Born at Independence, Dec. 9, 1907, he was the son of William J. and Mary Lauren Smart Beaver. He married Dorothy Byers in Danville, Ill., June 22, 1935. He was a member of the Christian Church at Tab. Surviving are the widow; a son, Larry of Dyer; three sisters, Mrs. Annabelle Leak of Attica, Mrs. Pauline Sell of Oxford, and Mrs. Eilene DeBruicher of Otterbein; two brothers, Leo of Covington and Harry of Lafayette, and two grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the DeSutter Funeral Chapel in Attica with the Rev. Norman Able officiating. Burial will be in West Lebanon Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Thursday.
