Covington Ind - William Leo Beaver, 73, of Covington Rt 3 died at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville at 10:50 p.m. Tuesday Aug 29, 1972 wher ehe had been a patient since Saturday. He had been in ill health three years. Born in West Lebanon Nov 23, 1898, he was the son of William J. and Mary L. Smart Beaver. He had resided most of his life in the Veedesrburg area. However, he had been a resident of Covington Rt 3 for the past two years. He was married June 2, 1926 in Sterling to Ella Laube. Mr. Beaver was formerly employed at General Motors at Tilton and had been a grinder at Harrison Steel in Attica for several years before retiring about 10 years ago. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Darwin (Caroline) Current of Covington; Mrs. Ralph (Ina) Salts of Veedersburg and Mrs. Lorin (Marilyn) Haas of Lafayette; three sons, William of Highland; Gerald of Clarks Hill and Barry of Nashville, Tenn; a brother Harry of Lafayette; two sisters, Mrs. anna Belle Leak of Tilton and Mrs. Eugene De Bruicker of Otterbein; 17 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A son, Harold Wayne, three brothers and two sister preceded him in death. Services will be in Maus Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. Saturday with Rev. Vernon Lallement officiating. Burial in Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Friends will be received at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Friday.
