Perry J. Beckley, 72, of Tilton, Ill died suddenly Monday April 27, 1992 at USMC Logan Campus.  He was born March 8, 1920 in Fountain County, the son of Grant and Flossie (Leonard) Beckly.  He married Evelyn Smith Sept 16, 1939. She survives.  Also surviving are: Bob and Judy Beckley of Newton, Miss; a granddaughter, Beth (Duane) Lurk of Newton, Miss; a grandson Robbie Beckley of Newton and a great granddaughter, Lauren Lurk; two brothers, Grant (Mae) Beckley of Danville and Irvy Beckley of Kingman; two sisters, Mary (Bill) Bolton of Olympia, Wash; and Leota (Ed) Smith of Waynesville, Mo and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by two sisters, Rachel Wilborn and Ruth Moreno and two brothers, Loren Beckle and Dale Beckley. Perry retired in 1982 from Danville Country Club golf where he had worked 46 years. He was an avid antique car enthusiast and belonged to Illiana Antique Auto Club and Vintage Chevrolet Club of America.  He was a member and trustee of Central Park United Methodist Church in Tilton, Ill.  He loved the outdoors, his garden, yard, feeding birds and mushroom hunting, his home family and .. The Sunset Funeral Home services on Thursday with Betty MaHaffey officiating.
