BEDINGER, Emerald - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Emerald L. Bedinger of Newman, Illinois, age 66, died Friday morning, August 6, at his home. He was born in Ledgerwood, North Dakota, July 16, 1916, the son of Royal and Amanda Nesbitt Bedinger. October 9, 1937, he married Mary Delattre, who died in 1978. He was a retired coal miner.

  Surviving are two daughters, Karen Nichols of Newman, Illinois, and Guyleen Bedinger of Sidney, Illinois; two sons, E. Bedinger of Kingman and Guy Bedinger, a member of the U. S. Marine Corps; a sister, Mary Gilkison of Fairmont, Illinois; two brothers, Harold of Murphysboro, Illinois, and Roy of Arthur, Illinois; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild.

  Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Joines Funeral Home in Newman with Rev. Daniel Roberts officiating. Burial was in Fairchild Cemetery near Newman. - thanks to S
