KINGMAN — Karen J. Beeson, 63, Kingman, died at 9:30 p.m. Friday, July 7, 2006 in Indiana University Medical Center, Indianapolis. She was born Sept. 15, 1942 in Lafayette, the daughter of Ralph and Grace (Fisher) Garrison. She married David Beeson June 3, 1900 in Kingman. He survives. She graduated from Kingman High School in 1960. She owned and operated a beauty shop. She was a member of the Kingman Christian Church, the American Legion Auxiliary #384, and the National Cosmetology Association. Wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. To all who knew her was to love her. She was a special woman. She had been ill for several years and didn't get out much, but she loved to talk on the phone with family and friends. She loved and cared and worried about everybody. She said prayers for many people. She was our families rock, and she was the most generous woman we ever knew. She will be sadly missed and her presence will be felt in our hearts forever. She is now at home with her Lord, her grandson, Derrick, and the rest of her family that went on before her. Survivors, besides the husband, include: four daughters, Ralpha H. Burkhart and her fiance Mike Hodges, Davanna K. Beeson and her fiance Tim Martin, all of Kingman, Jodie Phelps, Veedersburg, and Cathy Stites, Kingman; a sister, Sheila Hehmann, Kingman; two grandchildren, Darrin and Jevonna; two great-grandchildren, Macinzy Jo and Darrica; a step granddaughter, Jennifer Chapman; and special nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. today (Wednesday) in the Kingman Christian Church with the Rev. Gary Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Kingman Fraternal Cemetery. Dickerson Funeral Home, Veedersburg, was in charge of arrangements. Preferred memorials to the Kingman Christian Church. – jlr
