Veedersburg — Mrs. Mary Ellen Bell, age 80, of Veedersburg Rt. 4, died at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, at the Community Hospital in Williamsport, where she had been a patient two weeks. She had been ill three weeks. Mrs. Bell was born April 4, 1888 in the Riverside community in Fountain County, the daughter of John and Adaline Beeman Beedle. She married Benjamin Bell in 1908 and he preceded her in death in 1948. Surviving are: nine grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Roemer Funeral Home in Attica. The Rev. Earl Carmichael officiated and burial was in Bethel Cemetery near Attica.
