Veedersburg—(CNS)—Funeral services for Mrs. Rosa E. Bell, 76, who died Thursday following a heart attack, will be at 2 p. m. DST Sunday in the Veedersburg Evangelical United Brethren Church. The Rev. Robert Todd will officiate. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery, Waynetown, under the direction of the Fishero Funeral Home.

Veedersburg - Mrs. Rosa E. Bell, 76 years old, died of a heart attack Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. at her home here. Mrs. Bell had operated the Central Hotel in Veedersburg for many years until she retired because of failing health. She was a member of the Veedersburg EUB Church.  Mrs. Bell was born near Waynetown on Dec 19, 1874, the daughter of Robert J. and Laura Palmly Hughes. She married Guy Bell in 1905. Mr. Bell died June 7, 1931.  She is survived by a daughter, Wilda Bell who lives at home and a second cousin, Donald Collins who has lived in the Bell home since infancy. Funeral services will be Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Veedersburg EUB Church with Rev. Robert Todd in charge. Burial will be in the Waynetown Masonic cemetery. Mrs. Rosa E. Bell, 76, died about 2 p.m. Thursday May 31 at her home in the old Central Hotel building on South Main Street. A short time before she had appeared on the porch with broom in hand and spoke to Mrs. Elsie Songer who was passing. When the latter asked her how she was, Mrs. Bell answered, “Not so good today, Elsie.” On May 15 she had suffered a mild heart attack. One of her roomers, Casey Jones, a little later saw her stagger a bit and helped her to a chair. A few minutes later she was dead.  Mrs. Bell was born near Waynetown on Dec 19, 1874 the daughter of Robert J. and Laura Palmy Hughes. In 1915, she was married to Buy Bell who died in 1931. Surviving are a daughter, Miss Wilda Bell who lived at home and a cousin, Don Collins who also lived at the Bell home. Mrs. Bell and her husband had owned and operated the Central Hotel in Veedersburg for a number of years until ill health caused them to retire. She was a kindly woman and in recent years had rented rooms and provided a home for a number of single and elderly men. She was a member of the Veedersburg EUB Church. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the RUB Church, conducted by Rev. Robert Todd the pastor and Rev. William Buesching with interment in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
