William E. Bell, 79, New Market died 8:50 p.m. Saturday in Lane Nursing Home. Mr. Bell was a 1945 graduate of Alamo HS. He retired from RR Donnelley. He served in the Navy from 1945-47. His memberships include the Masonic Temple, Scottish Rite and New Market Christian Church. He was born Dec 31, 1927 at Tippecanoe County to Alonzo and Martha Bell. He married Hellen Furr. She died in 1955. In 1956, he married Barbara Alice White. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Lawrence (Linda) Bell, Crawfordsville and David (Colleen) Bell, Vincennes; her daughters, Colleen (Gary) Spencer, Russellville and Jacquelyn Teague, Indianapolis and several grandchildren. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Burkhart Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Whitacre officiating. Burial will follow at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
