Zola Beneield, 89 of 905 W. Pike St, died at 6:35 p.m. Wednesday in Culver Hospital. Mrs. Benefield has been a cook at several restaurants and fraternity houses and had lived in the Veedersburg area for many years. She was educated in Wallace schools and was a member of New Liberty Christian Church. She was born Dec 31, 1906 near Waynetown to Homer E. and Lula Cunningham Bever. She married Walter Benefield March 22, 1923. He died in September 1979. Surviving are a daughter, Marilou Manion of Crawfordsville; a brother, Bronson Bever of Crawfordsville; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral services are schedule for 2 pm. Saturday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home of Crawfordsville with Rev. Velma Keesling officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 40-8 p.m. today. kbz
