Attica – Freeman (Jack) Bennett, 59, died in his home, 504 North Second Street at 10 a.m. Monday after an illness of two years.  Born in Parke County, (sic – this is incorrect – he was born 23 May 1899 in Fountain County – Birth Record H-3 p 17) he was employed several years in the Attica Street Maintenance department. He was married to Ovilla Bell at Rockville in 1921. Surviving with the widow are two sons, Floyd J. of Westville, Ill and Donald of West Lebanon; a daughter, Mrs. Lewis Eller, Attica; a stepson, Melvin Baker, Indianapolis; a brother, Morris of Indianapolis and a sister, Mrs. Ethel Largent, Attica. – kz
