Veedersburg - Mrs. Virgie A. Bennett, 61, died at 12:30 p.m. Thursday in the Allen Nursing Home at Attica where she had been a patient the past nine days. She had been in failing health five months and seriously ill two weeks. Born April 17, 1900, in Kingman, she was the daughter of Michael and Ella Hershberger Watts. She married William Bennett, Sept. 11, 1919. Mrs. Bennett was a member of the Veedersburg EUB Church. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Earl of Veedersburg and Robert who is serving with the U.S. Air Force in Newfoundland; a daughter, Mrs. Louise Whitaker of Lafayette; and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Fishero Funeral Home here with Rev. J. Samuel Pritchard officiating. Interment will be in the Wolf Creek Cemetery near Wallace. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday.
