Hillsboro, March 13 -- Infirmities of old age caused the death of Mrs. George Berry at her home here at 12:30 a.m. yesterday, following a lingering illness of several months which suddenly became acute two weeks ago. She had lived in this part of Fountain County for more than 60 years. She was 75 years old. Her husband is engaged in the general merchandising business here. Mrs. Berry was born June 20, 1846 in Mercer, Kentucky, daughter of WIlliam and Margaret Linville. She moved with her family from Kentucky to Fountain County when she was 14 years old. On April 15, 1869, she married George Berry. Four children were born to the marriage of whom two survive. She was a member of the Christian Church and Order of Eastern Star. Surviving the deceased are her husband, George Berry; one son, Edward of Columbus, Ind; one daughter, Mrs. Stella Krug of Hillsboro; 3 brothers, John Linville of Hillsboro; Leonard Linville of Wingate and James Linville of Marysville, Mo; one sister, Mrs. John Hornell of Winterhaven, Fla; 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be at the Christian Church at 1:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon in charge of Rev. AW McGaughey of Veedersburg. Burial will be at Oak Hill cemetery at Hillsboro.
