Attica – William Best 78 a life resident of this community, died at 1:50 p.m. Tuesday in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette after an illness of three days. He was a native of Warren County and was employed by Poston-Herron Brick Company until he retired in 1943. He was married first to Maggie Bell, who died in 1958, then to Stella Hanther in 1959. He was a member of the Free Methodist Church and Father’s Auxiliary of VFW. Surviving with the widow are three sons: William A. of Knightsville and Donald and Robert of Attica; two daughters, Mrs. William Jackson and Mrs. Robert Barron of Lafayette land two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Jones of Attica and Mrs. Josie Brown of Evansville. - kbz
