Hillsboro Ind -- Mrs. Essie (sic - should be Effie) Leonard Bever, 85, of Hillsboro, died at 6 p.m. Friday, June 9, 1972 at the Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville. Born May 16, 1887, near Wallace, she was the daughter of William B. and Martha Apple Leonard. She was married to Henry C. Bever who preceded her in death in 1946. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Merle WIlliams of Tuscola, il; Miss Martha Bever at home; Mrs. Hazel Houser of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Baisy Birch of St. Charles, Mo; a son, Hardy at home; a brother, Adam Leonard of French Lick; 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, a grandson and a granddaguhter. Mrs. Bever was a member of the Hillsboro United Methodist Church and WSCS. Services will bea t 2 p.m. Monday at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rockfield Cemetery near Veedersburg. Visitation will be at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Sunday.

Mrs. Effie Bever, 85, died at 6 p.m. Friday, (June 9, 1972) in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. She had been in failing health for several years. She was a member of the Hillsboro United Methodist Church and the WSCS of the Church. Mrs. Bever was born May 16, 1887, near Wallace, a daughter of William B. and Martha Apple Leonard. She married Henry C. Bever who died in 1946. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Merle Williams of Tuscola, Ill., Miss Marsha Bever at home, Mrs. Hazel Houser of Rt. 6, Crawfordsville, and Mrs. Daisy Birch of St. Charles, Mo.; one son, Hardy, at home; one brother, Adam Leonard of French Lick; 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, a grandson and one granddaughter. Services were Monday at Crumley-Williams Funeral Home. Burial was in Rockfield Cemetery.
