Mrs. Elzada Jane Bever, 95-year-old life resident of Fountain County died Saturday afternoon in Vermillion County Hospital at Clinton. She had been ill the last 3 years and had been a patient at Britton Nursing Home the past 5 years. She was born near Yeddo on Dec 23, 1870, a daughter of Adam & Mary Shell Bonebrake. She first married William A. Carter in 1891. He died in 1935. later she married Elijah Bever, who preceded her in death. She is survived by two sons, Earl Carter of Tucson, AZ and Paul Carter of Veedersburg; a grandson and three great grand children; and two sisters, Mrs. Rose Ashe of san Francisco and Mrs. Iva Bryant of Bakersfield, Calif. Two sons, Fay Carter and Ora Carter preceded her in death. Mrs. Bever was a member of Freedom Christian Church at Wallace. Funeral services are set for 2 p. m. Monday at the Sever Mortuary with Rev. Conley Rowland officiating. Burial will be in Centennial Cemetery.
