Attica – Mrs. Truman Bever, Sr, a former resident of Attica, died in a Buchanan, Michigan hospital Monday morning after an extended illness. Born in Lebanon, she resided near Attica prior to moving to Michigan 20 years ago. Surviving with the husband are three sons, Robert S. and Truman, Jr. both of Buchanan, Mich and Orris Harper of Eugene, Ore and one sister, Mrs. Inez Barfell of Attica. – kbz

Buchanan - Mrs. Truman (Tresse E) Bever, 75, rt 1, Buchanan, died at 1:15 a.m. today in Pawating Hospital, Niles, where she had been a patient since Sunday. She had been ill for several months. Mrs. Bever was born Dec 5, 1885 near Attica, Ind, the daughte rof the late John and Josephine Smith. She was married to Truman O. Bever on Jan 1, 1913 at Malott (sic) Ind. They moved to Buchanan in 1942. Survivors include her husband; three sons, Orris E. Harper of Theodore City, Calif; Robert S. Bever and Truman Bever Jr. both of Buchanan; one sister, Mrs. Inez Barfelt of Attica, Ind; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Swem Funeral Home, Buchanan. Burial will take place in the Oak Ridge Cemetery, Buchanan.
