Mac Beymer age 77, a former resident of Covington and the Portland Arch community, north of Covington, died March 28, at a nursing home in Winter Haven, Fla., according to word received by relatives here recently. He had been in ill health for a number of years. Mr. Beymer was born March 17, 1886 in Covington, the son of Frank and Hannah Beymer. He attended the Portland Arch school. Seven or eight years ago he was injured while doing some carpenter work at Williamsport and he moved to Florida at that time for the benefit of his health. He had never married. He is survived by: a twin sister, Mrs. Margaret Morse of Amity, Ore., and one brother, Thornton Beymer, who resides at Portland Arch. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Lottie. Funeral services were conducted in Winter Haven on Saturday, March 30, with burial in the cemetery there.
