Attica, Ind – Lloyd E. Biggs, 58, Attica, died yesterday in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Ill.  He was a former auditor for the Indiana Department of Revenue. He was a WWII veteran.  Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Maus Funeral Home with burial in Riverside Cemetery. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Beulah Biggs.

Portland Arch – Lloyd E. “Dutch” Biggs, 58 of Portland Arch (Rt 1, Attica) died at 9:42 a.m. Wednesday in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Danville, Ill where he had been a patient since June 6.  A native of Attica and 1935 graduate of Attica HS, Mr. Biggs was an auditor for the State Department of Internal Revenue. Prior to that he owned and operated Grady & Biggs Service Station at Attica. He moved to Portland Arch 23 years ago. In 1948 he was married to Beulah Pattengale, who survives. He was a member of Portalnd Arch Christian Church, Attica Eagles and Moose lodges and a past commander of Attica American Legion.  He was a veteran of WWII. Surviving with the wife is the mother, Mrs. Finnie (Beryl) Stucker of Attica.

“Funeral Notices” – Lloyd E. “Dutch” Biggs – friends will be received at Dale Maus Funeral Home, Attica from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Friday.  Service at 2 p.m. Saturday in Maus Chapel, the Rev. Everett White and Rev. Melvin Nead officiating. Interment Riverside Cemetery, Attica. He was preceded in death by his father, one brother and a sister. Friends desiring may contribute in memoriam to Fountain County Heart disease. -kbz
