Williamsport, Nov 1 – Harley D. Billings, 72, widely known attorney and former judge of the Warren-Benton circuit court died at 8:15 o’clock last night at the home of a son, Preston Billings, south of West Lebanon.  He suffered a heart attack two weeks ago.  Member of a pioneer Warren County family, he was born Feb 18, 1868 the son of Harmon and Sarah (Wood) Billings.  He married Miss Lottie High, June 30, 1896.  After attending Wabash and Butler colleges, he graduated from the University of Michigan law school being admitted to the bar in 1895.  He was a lifelong republican and held other elective offices besides the judgeship. Surviving with the widow are two sons, Kenneth Billings, Chicago and Preston.  The body was brought to the Hamilton Funeral Home.  Funeral services there at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon, Rev. Fred Longwell, Methodist minister, officiating, assisted by Rev. Peter McEwen, Presbyterian.  Interment in West Lebanon cemetery. – would be Evangeline’s brother
