Charles Bird, 80, of 600 North Second Street, Attica, died at Meadow Heights Nursing Home at Williamsport, at 6:15 a. m. this Thursday, July 17, 1980. He had been a patient at Meadow Hts. since 1976. He was born in White County, Kentucky, March 26, 1900, a son of Daniel and Ida Fay Bird. A resident of Logansport most of his life, he moved to Attica 20 years ago. He was married to Maggie Everhart, who preceded him in death. He was employed as a railroader and laborer, working at various salvage yards in Logansport and Attica. He was a member of the Nazarene Church. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Walter (Mary) Cheesman of Logansport; and nine grandchildren. Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home in Attica Friday from 6:00 to 9:00 p. m. Funeral services will be held in the Maus Chapel Saturday morning at 11:00 o'clock, with Rev. A. L. Taylor officiating.
