BOSWELL, Ind. (CNS) – Mrs. Acie Black, 89, of Boswell, died at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday (Dec. 19, 1973) at the Home Hospital in Lafayette, where she had been a patient a week. She had been ill about four years. Born Jan. 3, 1884, in Warren County, she was the daughter of Charles and Eunice Shepherd Lape. She was married on Aug. 15, 1900, to James Black, who died in 1922. She was a member of the Christian Church. Survivors include a son, Ervin at home; a daughter, Myrtle at home; a brother, John Lape of Hedrick; and two sisters, Mrs. Iva Adams of Danville, Ill. and Mrs. Florida Jones of West Lebanon. She was preceded in death by a twin sister. Services will be at 2 p.m. EST Friday at the Yuill-Shoemaker Funeral Home, with Don Thornton officiating. Burial will be in West Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Thursday.
