Boswell - Irvin M. Black, 75, 306 S. Center St., a retired employee of the Indiana State Highway Department, died at 12:25 a.m. today in Home Hospital at Lafayette. He had been ill two years. Born in Newell Township, Ill., he had been a resident of the Boswell community for 14 years. Prior to moving here he had farmed in Warren County. Mr. Black was landscape foreman for the highway department at Fowler Sub-District. He was a member of the Christian Church. Surviving is one sister, Miss Myrtle Black of Bowell. (Handwritten date of November 5, 1976 on obituary.) Black, Irvin M. - Friends may call after 5 p.m. Saturday at Yuill-Shoemaker Funeral Home, Boswell. Funeral services 2 p.m. Sunday, Yuill-Shoemaker Chapel, Don Thornton officiating. Interment West Lebanon Cemetery.
