COVINGTON - Funeral services for Louis Malcolm (Mack) Black, age 73, who died at 6:15 a.m. Thursday, April 9, at his home on Covington Rt. 3, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home here. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Mr. Black was born Aug. 6, 1896, in Warren County, the son of Charles B. and Mary Jane Miller Black. He was married Oct. 2, 1920, to Viola Nickle, who survives. He had resided in Wabash Township, Fountain County, since 1938. A former resident of the Perrysville area, he had farmed all his life. He was a member of Coopers Chapel Church and the Fountain County Farm Bureau. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are: one son, Malcolm of Kokomo Rt. 1; one daughter, Mrs. Rosemary Stonecipher of Covington Rt. 3; one sister, Mrs. Bertha Jensen of Perrysville Rt. 1; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and three brothers.
