Mrs. Viola N. Black of Covington, age 79, died Wednesday morning, February 25, in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Illinois. She was born December 5, 1901, in Vermillion County, the daughter of Walker D. and Eva Brindley Nickle. October 2, 1920, she married Lewis Malcolm Black, who survives. Mrs. Black was a member of Covington First Church of Christ and Senior Citizens.
  Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Rosemary Stonecipher of RR 3, Covington; a son, Malcolm of Kokomo; two sisters, Mrs. Flora Weaver of Waveland and Mrs. Leatha Pender of Portage; a brother, Frank Nickle of Hillsboro; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Rev. Joseph White officiating. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery at Covington. – thanks to S
