Mrs. Lacey Marie Blackmore, 59, of 202 Pine, died at 9:25 p.m. yesterday (Feb. 27, 1967) in St. Elizabeth Hospital where she had been a patient 11 days. She had been in ill health four years. She was born July 4, 1907, in Silverwood, Ind., a daughter of Nathaniel and Laura Belle Davis Woods. Her schooling was at Stringtown, Ind. She was married in Danville to William D. Smith. She was later married to James Blackmore. Surviving from her first marriage are a son, Norman D. Smith of Danville; four daughters, Mrs. Delores York of Veedersburg, Ind., Mrs. Wilma Ponder, Mrs. Jean Weidenburner and Mrs. Lola Higginson all of Danville; 15 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. She made her home with Mrs. Higginson. Also, a brother, Gene Woods of Stringtown; three sisters, Mrs. Letha Cunningham of Terre Haute, Ind., Mrs. Vern Crowder of Perrysville, Ind., and Mrs. Eliza Crowder of Williamsport, Ind., and a half-brother, Jess Keller of Covington, Ind. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Pape Memorial Home with the Rev. Jack Bennett officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends will be received at the funeral home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today.
