VEEDERSBURG - Mrs. Frances Blackwell, 38, a native of Fountain County near Veedersburg, died early Friday morning at her home in Indianapolis. She had been ill for several months prior to her death. Born near Veedersburg on March 14, 1927, she was the daughter of Wilmer and Ruth Stucker. She married Dr. Donald Blackwell, a practicing bone specialist in Indianapolis. The husband survives together with four children between the ages of 12 and two. The children are Ruth, Donna, Scott and Brett, all at home. Also surviving is the mother, Mrs. Ruth Parish, and step-father, Ralph Parish, of Rt. 1, Kingman, and a brother, James Stucker of Dallas, Tex. Word was received in Veedersburg of Mrs. Blackwell's death by Harley Stucker, an uncle. Funeral services are set for 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Osborn Prairie Church northwest of Veedersburg. Burial will be in the cemetery there. The body will lie in state at the church an hour preceding the services. The body is at a Flanner & Buchanan Funeral Home in Indianapolis, where friends may call from 2 to 10 p.m. Sunday.
